SDVI is an 8(a) certified, Service Disabled Veteran (SDV) owned small business home-based in the Washington DC Metro area that is focused on providing our customers with the most timely and cost-conscious services and state-of-the-art, industry leading solutions. We provide healthcare professionals on government contracts nationwide. We currently have an opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to work at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland.
Duties include, but are not all inclusive
- Perform a full range of occupational therapist services in accordance with the scope of clinical privileges granted by the Commanding Officer.
- Provide appropriate therapeutic procedures and a full range of therapy services in support of patient referrals from the following specialties: orthopedics, General Medicine and Surgery, Primary Care Clinic, Family Practice, Flight Medicine, Physical Therapy, Rheumatology and other referrals approved by Department Head/division Officer.
- Test and measure the patient's strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and/or respiratory and circulatory efficiency. Record findings to develop or revise treatment programs.
- Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on evaluation of the patient.
Requirements: - Bachelors, masters, or doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited Occupational Therapy Institution.
-Two years of experience in the area of inpatient and outpatient hand therapy and physical disabilities.
- Current, unrestricted license to practice Occupational Therapy in any one of the fifty States, or Territories.
- Credentials appropriate for evaluation and treatment of various musculoskeletel disorders.
